I recently graduated from Duke University with a master's degree in divinity. I also hold a bachelor's degree in business and finance from Elon University. I tutored students while I worked toward both my bachelor's and master's degrees. Between degrees, I spent time teaching math to 8th graders in Atlanta. I love educating others, and am able to help students in a number of different topics. As a former math teacher, I am able to help students with concepts in elementary and middle school math, algebra, geometry, and statistics. I am an amateur storyteller and videographer, which enhances my tutoring techniques! I encourage students to explore both the purpose and the facts within each topic. By doing so, this makes the learning experience more fun, and breeds curiosity in the subject as well. I'm able to tutor students in reading, writing, editing, literature, grammar, and public speaking.I believe that learning can be a fun task. If, during our sessions, we can be optimistic and passionate about the material, students will not only learn the subject, but they will also discover why a subject is important our everyday lives.
